State of Space

Is originality a foursquare 
plotted praxis planted right 
where an imaginary deity 
plods through unwitting
 
effetes ready to genu-
select at the stoplight
ridden with smitten 
venerables called elders

yet in reality bush league 
when about to meet the young 
spun from ritually eager repro-
bewildereds seeking praise

alongside a raise and crazed 
for the nod any day now 
stilted in the mean-
time seen scurrying
