Night and flowers transpose
passing daylight once
surrounding the house 
to a cool excuse to sit together 
at the outdoor table 
sipping hot chocolate 
figures within a geometry 
backgrounding the symmetrical home 
of slats and windows 
with a peak turned north star 
for three plain inhabitants 
who seem comfortable sharing cups 
in the aftermath of dusk dimmed 
to a negative of this keepsake snapshot

Arizona frames the water she may dream even when surrounded by cacti, some  wearing hats. You can see in the sky the flag of the State to the left and clouds and stars billow blinking the season of choice.
