And Call

Roseate plumage un-blanks the staged welfare
Presumed incipient and all the daggers
Primped to prevaricate in pursuit of having
It both ways (Avoid using the words
"Both sides" anywhere near me) I'm
One thin rodeo away from the tripwire
I hesitate to pluck if just to hear
Whatever tone might rise from that baseline bass
We'll call the beginning until and unless
You prefer to undress your feathering
Just solo guess at the crest tipping up
And down the folds of winter interfering
With the ringtone chosen to allow in
Only the pale crowd of those at your beck
